  Very good. Purple with no real legs to speak of. Moss on the nose. Mellow cherry flavor with some spice. Was very tight out of the bottle but opened up over a few hours.

  What James Suckling saw in this wine to award it 93 pts is lost on me. It is a decent wine for the price, but nowhere good enough to deserve inclusion in the 90+ ot range. With notes of leather, tobacco, soil, and berries, it is a decent wine. It is very dry, angular, and not very pleasing. If the high rating had not created this huge expectation in me, I may not have been so let down.

  Aromas of violets, berries, and leather. Tastes of cherries and plums with a tart berry finish. Smooth tannins.
