Deep garnet with high optical density and high specular reflectivity. Aromas show medium intensity and a simple but nice array of strawberry, mineral notes, and light florals. In the glass, some lovely vegetal aromas come on, along with some light garden soil and savoury herbal notes, increasing the complexity a bit. On the palate, medium body and acidity with ripe, fine tannins that are light and integrated. The texture is full and verging on sappy, with a rounded and juicy appeal. Flavours of dull red fruits on top of flower pedals on the attack, with warm wet stone and light vegetable peels coming on toward midpalate. Medium intensity and a simple but highly drinkable profile. Finishes with fruit peel and cherry juice over stone. Short and clean finish.
Lovely wine here that has aged impressively. Still plenty of fruit, although it is not a vivid quality, which blends with the mineral and floral elements nicely. Really awesome bottle here, and a pleasure to drink at this point. Balanced, unobtrusive, and delicious with arrays of mineral, red fruit, and some florals: lots to like here!

Looking forward to drinking these over the next few months. I think it’s going to get better in the coming years but I don’t think mine will last that long.

The nose is quite muted.
Meaty and floral aromas, a little oak and dark berries.
The palate:
Blueberry, blackberry and a little raspberry at the end.
Fleshy and fresh with a mineral finish. I also found it a little metallic(a)
Did not decant this.
Medium body
Medium+ tannin
High acidity.
I do find the Moulin-à-Vent more attractive, fruity and complex - my favorite of beaujolais. And this is not as explosive.
Compared to other beaujolais from the same winery (morgon, morgon cote de py, moulin-a-vent cru) this Fleurie is at the better end.

Both bottles were overly acidic.

the nose is ever evolving, but rather light on the palate, drinkablity is a plus though.
