Community Tasting Notes (10) Avg Score: 91.4 points

  • Clean, crisp, dry typical Chablis. Strong hints of lemon, lime and citrus notes on the tongue. Still fresh in 2023 - can take another 7 -10 years aging.
For me lacking some boldness for higher rating

  • Gorgeous green / gold in the glass. From a riper vintage this delivers a beautiful bouquet of oyster shell, white flowers, red apple, apricot as well as some ripe tropical fruits that emerge along with a touch of toasted hazelnut. The palate is so pure and poised with wonderful depth, fruit definition and texture. The intense flinty minerality and long, mouthwatering finish just demand another sip. This is a beautiful 1er Cru Chablis from one of the heavy hitters of the region. Now entering its prime drinking window, this certainly has another 10 years of quality drinking ahead of it. Excellent.

  • Tasted over 2 hrs
    -translucent light gold-green
-mild reduction sits atop classic Chablis aromas
-med acidity gives some cut, med/med- weight with lean restricted minerally lemon citrus fruit and a sprinkle of brown spice a la Vaillons yet a more expansive viscous texture ending with a gentle nudge of warmth
-good complexity with some of the lemon notes of the site and texture of the riper vintage, interesting if not as refreshing as many vintages, also interesting to watch this evolve over the past 4 years

  • Tasted over 2 hrs
    -translucent light gold faint green
    -full green apple pear
-just med acidity, med weight concentrated yet not all that focused some orchard fruit with a minerally saline kick on the back end, OK length
-hefty for a Fevre Les Lys with less cut and more weight, such a great example illustrating the effect of vintage, can't say I love this but appreciate as always the chance to observe the differences between vintages, producers and terroir in Burgs, interesting how this has evolved from the more typical citrus spectrum to orchard fruit

  • UWS a random set of wines (@ JB): Beautiful bouquet with white fruits and smoke. On the palate minerals, focused acidity, beautiful oaky impressions and firm bitterness. Beautiful and complex wine.
