Opened 3 hours in advance of going out to dinner. Put the cork back in and took to our club for "date night". Actually it was the 50th anniversary of our first date (I did not remember but my wife did). Anyway when we got there we pulled the cork and let it sit for another half hour. The nose was red and black fruit. The palate is berries, plums, figs, a hint of mocha and some dried sage. The finish was nice but not 95+ points as other people have given it. I was looking for something longer and deeper and I didn't get it. I actually timed the finish on my phone stopwatch and at best it was 22 seconds. Maybe I am spoiled as I drink a lot of Saxum wines and am used to "forever" finishes. A really good wine but based on pedigree and price point I was expecting more. I have more bottles in the cellar and will let them sit for a while.

Pop and pour. Rich and silky Cab with good acid lift and herbal finish, fine tannins, just a little dark earth. Very enjoyable with wagyu New Yorks and consumed with velocity.

Inky blue purple. Decanted for an hour, then drank a glass, Re bottled and refrigerated- drank the balance over 2 days. Enjoyed at 65* using Vinglace cooler. Really hit its stride on day 2 &3. Nose was powerful with scents of black fruit, currants, blueberries, black licorice, cigar tobacco. Full bodied, long viscous finish with smooth tannins and great structure. Layers of sweet black fruit, tobacco, and dark chocolate. One of those wines that makes you double check the bottle for more. Excellent!
