One of Marquis' best value wines, has been great since release. Still powerful and full-bodied shiraz aromas and flavors, but much more round, with less heat and tannin. No signs of age yet. Enjoy now. Ric

N: Iron, ripe berries, choc, POSS some stemminess? Rest tough to parse
P: Med body; NICE frt counterbalanced by an astringency which QUITE resolves by the LONG, very, VERY slightly spicy finish with a tangy/swtness & very, VERY slight bitterness to the few remaining tannins. For now with food (e.g., would stand up to rich meats), & SHOULD at least APPROACH its 20th. My EXC/EXC+. 96 pts WA & 91 WS.

Still very dark and completely opaque. Very aromatic, with blackberries, roasted meats, musty, earthy aromas. Very full-bodied, mouth-searing, as are all their wines; plenty of upfront fruit, dark fruits, plums, toasted oak. Very hot, though, especially in the long aftertaste. Time to drink up, before the fruit turns to prunes! Ric

a bit over the hill Good nose though If you like big Aussie Shiraz, this is a great one. Dense dark purple color, vibrant bouquet with super ripe fruit, flowers and chocolate. Lush and powerful on the palate again with ripe fruit and chocolate with vanilla. A bit of an after taste

Well, it’s supposed to be long gone, but it isn’t.
It’s still excellent.
