  • Beautiful! Lively and refreshing aromas of white grapefruit, lemon zest, and white stone. Palate displays mineral notes with a tart citrus profile. Very well balanced. Great on a hot summer night!

  • This Sancerre has good minerality, but it doesn't have as much lemon or lime citrus as I had hoped for, rather, the nose and palate are more dominated by light grapefruit. We're finding it harder and harder to find Sancerres that don't taste like New Zealand Sauvignon Blancs.

  • Yellow color with a bouquet and flavor quite assertively grassy. Not my favorite style of Sauvignon Blanc, but rather typical of French renditions. Nice nice acidity with a fairly long finish. Fine if you're a cow. Drunk on the fourth day of our Oceania cruise along the coast of Spain on our way to Alicante. during a multicourse dinner with an assembled group of cruise guests. Good food and a good time. I agree with Jancis Robinson that the Sauvignon Blanc should not be considered a noble grape.

  • Winebar [4 Whites, 8 Reds, & 3 *shared* bottles] from 07/20/18 (Vintage Wines Ltd., San Diego, CA): 25-35 yr old vines grown in a combination of clay, limestone, & silica soils in the villages of Bué, Chaudoux, Chavignol, & Verdigny.

N: Interesting notes of grapefrt, poss barnyrd, but more likely forest floor? Complex

P: LM, poss Med, body; RNDISH entry with NICE, almost swtish frt braced by grapefrty acidity which basically defines the wine as it transitions into quite a LONG, tangy/swt (60:40) finish with a very, VERY slight bitterness which comes across as a +. For now & into early '20 min. My VG+/EXC-. 16/20 Jancis Robinson. [This vendor's $26.95 is $5 < anyone else on wine-searcher's limited listing.]

  • Really pronounced nose, passion fruit, gooseberry, grapefruit, ripe orange, lemon, ripe apple. Dry, medium body, high acid, notes of ripe citrus, ripe peach, grapefruit, passion fruit.
This is a remarkable Sancerre as it tastes like an NZ Sauvignon Blanc, it is so ripe and heavy on the tropical fruits. Very interesting wine. Had me fooled when tasting it blind.
