No, no, no. This GSM should have bright fruit both on taste and aroma, it has none. It should be a bit zingy, peppery on the finish. None. I found it vegetal and poured it out.

Bought this at the BevMo in San Mateo while visiting relatives in the SF Bay Area. Had just tried Hahn's Santa Lucia Highlands GSM a few days earlier at their Carmel-By-The-Sea tasting room and was curious to see how this would compare at less than half the price. Shows a bit of heat on the nose, along with attractive notes of Asian spices and bramble. Full-bodied, rich and almost syrupy in texture. Effusively fruity, jammy and sweet - though not quite cloyingly so. There's good definition to the ripe, juicy plum, cherry and raspberry fruit here. Finishes with decent length and lots of lingering raspberry fruit. A real fruit bomb. Enjoyable, but pretty straightforward and simple. So young now, this might be a little more interesting in another year or two when its fruit has faded a bit. 50+5+11+15+7=88

Would not be first choice but don’t know about other blends.

This is what it is, and that's fine. It's an inexpensive blend that doesn't try to be anything more. I like this for mid-week or a late night.
