Popped-and-poured, then enjoyed over nearly three hours. Lots of spice and bright fruit to start - apple, lemon curd, and some candied lemon peel - with good weight. Air was this wine's friend tonight, with more weight emerging and a rich nuttiness coming through as well. I don't know if this was at its best when finished three hours after it was opened, but it was darn close to its best.

Apple, baked apple, lemon curd and candied lemon peel. A touch on the rich side for now, but with 2014's bright mineral edge coming through clearly as well. Upside from here.

Wonderful depth and richness, but much too mature for its age. Previous bottle from the same case was beautiful (Dec 2022).
