Wickedly good red/black fruit. Hints of briar/forest floor on the nose. Pepper up front along with a bead of acidity all the way through to the end. Mild astringency with more dark fruits on the end. A touch of camphor on the nose and at the final sip with time in the glass. My last bottle and it's drinking very well.......

Briar, tobacco leaf and black fruit nose. Entry of rich dark red/black fruit, medium mouth feel and loads of white pepper with good acidic backbone leading to a mouth watering ending. Goes on for about 30 seconds. This kind of zin rocks my boat. Very different than the Outpost from earlier this evening. Great in its own right. Lots here to like and still going strong.
Missing something the last bottle had 18 months ago. Still plenty of briar and acidity but the dark fruit has just the slightest raisining to it. Still some nice spice/pepper. A nice everyday drinker for a zin. Best to finish these '14s now if you have them, they may be starting to wane, IMO....unless you like your zins tasting a little older.

Strong vanilla musky spicy nose. Still outsized tannic finish, heavy fruity wine. A classic.

Absolutely awesome. Could be the best Hartford Zin I've had. Amazing balance and freshness. Great acidity with a cranberry essence.
