  Rieslingfeier 2017; 2/17/2017-2/18/2017 (NYC): white pepper, peach, passionfruit, white flowers, and a pleasant green pepper note (normally that would be odd in an Auslese, but it just worked for me). definite botrytis character. acidic tingle on tongue, this is remarkably fresh given the heft here. long finish -- it really just does not end. slightly preferred the '05 to this, but would be thrilled to have the chance to taste either.

  Grosser Ring Versteigerung 2016 (Trier): An almost perfect scoring Auslese GK...Can only be from one producer and that is Egon Müller. This vintage is SO good!
