  VDP Mosel - Grosser Ring - annual auction (Trier): *** brief impression from Auction, no serious tasting note ***
  Drunk 3 times. This wine is already close to perfection and I can’t imagine how mindboggling it will be at full peak (which will be in about 30-50 years …). Very complex, concentrated and deep nose. Awesome perfume! On the palate it is unbelievable: precise, deeeep, complex with layers of flavors, perfect balance, mouthcoating without cloying and a never-ending finish. This is very close to perfection 98-99

  @ Versteigerung in Trier. Like al the other wines at this Versteigerung, tasted twice. Once in the morning and once in the afternoon. Hard to put words on this effort by Egon, this is a wine with a truly perfect balance!
