La Tablee: Grand Tasting (26 Bridge Street, Brooklyn): From declassified vineyards and 100% natural winemaking. Which means this starts with a lot of effervesence. Lots of red fruits and tea leaves and a bit more herbal. Very different style of wine.

Slightly spritzy after about one hour of decanting. Intense nose of meat, pepper, dark plum, and spices. Noticeable, but rather soft tannins with dark berries and nice finish. Not your every day wine, but very delicious!

Beautiful murky electic almost blood red. Pink grapefruit florality marks the high toned vibrant aromatics. A sweet meaty undertone and a smoky savory edge. Some trapped CO2 as to be expected. Strawberry/cherry vinegarette, sweet spice, salty minerality, Puckering acidity. Lip smacking and just flat out tasty. This is definitely in the "natural" world but would be a great place to start for people curious about no SO2 added wines. It will probably challenge you a little bit I think it would be easy to find the enjoyment after a few sips. A really great price on this one.

Opened one hour in advance. Synthetic cork. Fresh fruit aroma, with dill pickle underneath. Lemon strawberry flavors, with a bit of spritz. Grapefruit bacon finish.
Yeah, it's funky, and possibly not suitable for mixed company. It needs air time, when first opened it tastes like cherry soda with vinegar added. Not unpleasant, by the way, but it's better once things settle down.
Once things do settle down, it's fresh, vibrant, refreshing, with decent staying power. It's also volatile, and doesn't completely lose the vinegar, nor the spritz. A style that's not for everyone (or every day for that matter) but enjoyable for those of us who love acid and funk.

Cellaraid Discovery Box; 5/19/2017-5/26/2021 (Delivered to Home): deep purple; pretty intense, of blueberries, blackcurrant, cherry, plum, red pepper, cinnamon, chocolate, chacuterie, meaty; medium finish; nice, and better to be drunk now or soon
