Very well balanced with lush fruit. Drank this with prime rib at the Bristol Bay Lodge fly fishing last week. Great setting, great wine! Shared a glass with our bush pilot as we contemplated the sanity of flying in those tin cans.
An outstanding wine. In a Bordeaux tasting across appellations and vintages, this was second only to a 1990 Pichon Lalande, and was tops among the Right Bank wines. Easily topped names like Mouton, Las Cases, Montrose, Cos d'Estournel, Ducru, and Lafleur. The Rochebelle was an elegant, but expressive, wine.
