  • Another of our Mavens summer collection: Minerality and almost a slightly sulfurous note on the nose; subdued oak, moderate acidity, citrus notes, balanced and subtle. Very drinkable.

  • It's not a bad Chardonnay. I got this from a wine club and this is a surprise. This was the "lower" bottle (I'll call it) from the 94+ wine club.

The nose is on point. Very good Italian Chardonnay. Matter of fact, this is the standard from what I would expect a Chardonnay to smell like. The taste is not as great as the nose.

The taste has everything you would expect: Lemon, Tart, Apple. However, you get a bit of raw pineapple and bitterness at the end. Everything is on point in the beginning, it's really lovely, but the finish gets a bit rough.

I think it needs more oak or it was pulled a week to early from the vines. The acidity is just a hair off and bit too much in the tannin department. I do really like it. Overall, for the price (which is a steal), this would work as a PnP for most any occasion. You could talk it up about it being an Italian Chardonnay and impress the regular people at your party. Anyone who wants a buttery Chardonnay will not like this one at all.

  • A fine, pure expression of 100% Chardonnay from Toscana. Clear, medium yellow. The nose is clean, youthful, intense, with aromas of ripe lemon, tart yellow apple, barely ripe pineapple, cantaloupe, Mediterranean herbs and saffron. Just a delicate hint of French oak spice. The palate is dry, with medium to medium (+) acidity, medium alcohol. Medium-bodied, with medium intensity and length. Nice, clean, minerally finish. A really fine expression of what Central Italian Chardonnay can be.

  • Belle robe or pâle, brillante. Assez expressif au nez, avec des notes minérales, d’agrumes et d’ananas. Vif et frais en bouche, puis développe une belle ampleur, avec une finale agréable et épicée. Très agréable.
