Mildly aromatic of sweet black cherries and a faint floral note. This is fine with good acidity and nice tannins, but it's pretty low on the intensity meter. My guess is it's in decline, although it shows no signs of advanced age. Drink now 88

Beautiful nose of rich, ripe chocolate covered black cherries, spice, game and herbs de Provence. Medium-bodied and silky with moderate but bright acidity and resolved tannins that just gently tug on the finish. Delicious now, this should hold another two years or so. What this lacks in intensity and depth, it more than makes up for in DELICIOUSNESS! 90

This is just ok. Reminds me of some other 2015s in that it is ripe, but lacks depth and substance. Low acid. This has pleasant aromatics and the flavor is nice, but it lacks and cut or persistence on the palate. Drink now-2022 87
11-8-20: this has been in the fridge, untouched since the 1st. It has gained some weight and black fruits. Good aromatics. 89+. Maybe this needs another year or two.

Venue: JR & Janet's; General Notes: Am I even allowed to use the word cherry here, or is that too on point? I don’t know. Smelling this gave me huge sense memory of India with a hint of turmeric and some rotten berries. Very fruit forward with tart reds and cinnamon followed by a stacatto tannic finish that lingers. A very bold, head shaking Beaujolais this one. Kya aapake paas koee Gamay hai? I hope so! ; Wine Notes: | Eco Style | Sustainable ;

Following a tasting of Saint-Émilion Bordeaux wines, this Beaujolais didn’t compare favorably.
