Couldn’t pick this out as a Pinot Gris. Has the initial complexity and fruit of a well crafted Chardonnay, but the pithiness and textural qualities of something else entirely. Doesn’t have the middle palate of a Chardonnay… the fragrant flowers and back-acidity take over. Has a very crisp character at the end. Perfumes increase as it warms. Remarkable stuff; something to experience. Well done, Jason!

You can definitely see the old vine concentration in the wine's weight and richness. Plenty of tropical fruit without any heaviness. Nice waxy texture that glides across the palate.

Very tasty and drinking well now. The nose is fragrant with spring blooms, ripe orchard fruits, a hint of honey and mineral. Good balance and good depth with a juicy and flavorful finish make this really enjoyable.

This may be the best domestic Pinot Gris that I've ever tasted. Slightly golden in color, intensity of flavor from the old vines, just a touch of gunpowder, a bit of pleasant malic flavor, creaminess from the lees treatment, but with just enough acid to support. It's a curious, delicious wine.

Delicious with some Cajun hoppin' John; floral, ripe pear, peach cobbler, ginger and coriander. Rich, but balanced; good energy; disappears quickly...
