Has really good aromatics, that remind me of a well aged Pinot Noir. Great mature flavour too, however the wine is a little unbalanced and lacks acidity which is a bit surprising and disappointing and leads to an average mid palate and finish. If it had the acidity one would expect it would have rated a lot higher. Given the lack of acidity this is more aperitif territory than drinking with with a red sauce or fatty meat.

received as a present, I was not expecting much from this bottle. Once uncorked, it tasted strange, color was much lighter than sangiovese and not limpid nor translucent (...not filtered), and seemed older than its age. So I poured some wine in the baloon just to wait and see. After half an hour or more, scents commpletely changed into a wonderful but lighter wine, far from being a sangiovese but more properly resembling to an elegant pinot noir... Very nice at the palate, sip after sip. Big big surprise, what a terribly pleasant drinking.. Biodynamic. Wow. How to craft a Sangiovese (di Romagna) with the elegant touch of Bourgogne. Chapeau!

Enjoyed at Angelini in LA. No formal notes, but this was terrific. Thinner in color than I expect from sangiovese. Tasted remarkably like a good pinot; notes of cherry and licorice. Medium finish, not too tannic. Fantastic food wine, evolved over the night and flattered four different courses.
