I enjoyed this wine much more at the winery years ago. Still good now but more monolithic with loads of tropical fruit and caramel. Not clumsy but a fuller wine to be sure. I'll drink my other bottle sooner than later.

This was all tropical fruits like pineapple and even coconut for me. I think it is well-made but definitely not my style. In the end, the score reflects mostly how much I enjoyed the wine.

Pop and pour, consumed over a couple of hours; right off the bat, this was all tropical fruit in the aroma and also on the palate; initial nose of banana and mango, with a little citrus lemon and orange, then after an hour, a little more doughy-pastry crust and some botrytis notes of ginger and honey; the palate was rich and rounded with a nice amount of oak integration but nothing over the top; the botrytis more pronounced on the palate; could use a little more acid, which was stronger the colder the wine was; overall very enjoyable.

Comparable to a previous bottle.

Tropical fruit on the nose and palate. Some sort of caramel/butterscotch note that detracted from the overall taste.
Not my favorite example of Cali chard.
