First time drinking a Vincent Dancer white Burgundy. Initially unbalanced with a very reductive attack followed by a fairly rich mid palate. Splash decanted and poured back in the cooled bottle, which helped somewhat. Solid wine with noticeable reduction but could do with a bit more precision on the mid palate. Must be the hot 2015 vintage. Good but not great. PS: Not sure I understand why this Meursault village is selling north of $250 these days...

Saturday hangout at Domaine (Chicago, IL): I admit that I just don't really like this bottling from Dancer. This bottle isn't as chronically reduced as the 2014, but at the same time, there is still too much of that reduction going on. The ripe fruit on the midpalate and finish don't really help in this department because the reduction is mostly on the attack.

A quite unctuous, strong pronounced hint of perilla leaf; this bottle was rather an unbalanced one.

This wine continues to disappoint me considering the brilliance of Vincent Dancer. Buy his Chassagnes, they are so much better
