Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • 12% alcohol.

Luminous and still relatively intense dark cherry color. Ridiculously volatile and over-the-top nose with tons of nail polish, sweet ethery solvent aromas, some acetic balsamico character, light fruity notes of wizened black cherries and a slightly green-toned hint of pickle. The wine is full-bodied and quite aggressively volatile on the palate with flavors of wizened black cherries, some nail polish, a little bit of raisin and a hint of earth. There's a quite unpleasant, vinegary roughness to the mouthfeel. The wine is high in acidity, but the tannins feel almost nonexistent. The finish is drull, coarse and vinegary with flavors of nail polish, some raisin and a little bit of mousy THP.

An undrinkable wine by all accounts. And as if the wine itself wasn't forbidding enough with its ridiculously acetic, volatile character, a little bit of mousiness comes to add another dimension to the sheer horribility of the wine. Truly an experience, I must say.
