A private lunch (Restaurant 't Spiehuis, Soest, Netherlands): A lovely wine, nothing stands out but nothing is missing either, a well-designed package of ripe Macon fruit, freshness and moderate oak, well-balanced, with good flavours and length.

This was on close-out at B-21 (Tarpon Springs, FL) for $9.99. Based on the few reviews here, I decided to take a chance and buy a case. Very powerful on the nose. Almost had me worried that the wine was oxidized - but it was not. Bold, complex aromas of apricot, melon, honey and spice fill the glass. Surprisingly rich and full-bodied on the palate, featuring plenty of ripe delicious pear, apple and apricot fruit with hints of spice and flint. Very nicely balanced, with a mild-to-moderate acidity and just a slight touch of oak. Almost 'New World' in style, this is amazingly good for its modest appellation and rock-bottom price point. I think I'm going to order another case and make this my "house" white. 50+5+13+15+7=90

Frais, le nez est enjôleur, à la fois mineral et boisé avec des notes mieleuse. En bouche, assez simple mais honnête, c'est ample et assez gras avec un bel équilibre. Par contre, en réchauffant, une pointe d'alcool est dérangeante.

Sharp acidity was my first impression. Heavy on the apples with honeycrisp notes, pineapple hints, and a caramel-stone intermingling that develops into caramel covered apples on the fade. Price point is right at $19, definitely delivers Burgundy value. Solid Macon however I feel the acidity is a tad too much for a higher echelon; overall evaluation B+ (88).
