  • This blew my mind. Had never heard of it before tonight. Just a shade below my WOTN against legendary competition (Leroy, DRC, Petrus, Guigal, Yquem).

  • Quickly out of the glass and the liqueur is really up in your face. This one has not liked to be locked up for 120 years! Coarse deep soil with salts and gravel tones lies above the other aromas of dried caramel, dried nutshell and some lighter and fresher fruits than age would suggest. But the old man forgives quickly. Lightning sharp and incredibly energetic and lively mouthfeel that makes you raise your eyebrows and whistle. Not a fruit bomb, but has enough fruit concentration that gives balance with the great developed tones of nuts, dried figs, dried apricots and toffee. Beautiful old-fashioned freshness at the end with this sharp soil character that impresses. Balance! Magical wine that even Obelix had been impressed with! Fantastic! 97 points.

  • 2016 FTLOP Holiday Party (Sammamish, Washington): Dark amber-orange in color, with some chunks of settlement. Incredible intensity. Oh my! Notes of Brown sugar and molasses. Super finish.

    Otroligt gott!!!

  • Perfect bottle.
The colour is between amber and Coca-Cola.
Wonderful bouquet of fudge, raisins, honey, dried fruit and herbs.
A very vital wine! Yes it is a fortified wine and should have great potential for ageing well ... but still I am amazed by this wines energy and vitality. It feels fresh.
Great texture, even some minerality, lovely mature fruit that offers raisins, fudge, chocolate, herbs, apricots in brandy, dried fruit and even a hint of liquorice and coffee. Very complex.
    Lovely balance. Almost perfection.
