Consumed over 3 days, the first night this had little going for it: thin, acidic, lots of toasty oak and very boring, there seemed to be good potential but it was locked up; night two was better but third was the best, the texture had filled out the fruit became redder, oak still seemed to play a role but had moved to the side, some roses, structure was more muscular more like a Pommard or so but never became too rich and kept good drinkability; solid, check back in 3 years.

Effusive nose of sweet cherry pie with the crust and all, wood spice, tea leaf, and cologne. Taste of fresh, lively, whole cluster berries. Great tannic structure and a tasty mineral finish. Wish I had more of this one.

Not a claassic GC performance. Opened with some pickles and black cheery notes. Later some sweet red bean paste and bacon. Tasty and balanced on the palate. Long finish. After breathing nose of rose, smoke, bay leaf with salty palate. Rather elegant.

A highly perfumed nose of cherries, dried flowers and smoked meats. The palate is fresh and juicy with the lusciousness of the vintage. It is accessible Gevrey with some of the muscle of the village underpinning all of the pretty elements of the wine. The finish has stony minerality.
