“Hey, let’s make the corks on our wines look like the plutonium core of a Bond villain’s doomsday weapon!”
“Also, let’s make our wines from one of the world’s great terroirs taste grapey and disgusting!”
There is something awful about this wine. It has flavors that remind me of industrial plonk boiled in a cauldron of artichokes. I had numerous wines from Gevrey in the 1980’s and 1990’s that were thin and weak, but this has the requisite acid/alcohol to overcome that, while also tasting like you just licked a 9 volt battery.
