  • Crazy nose of roses and other flowers, sweet red fruits and truffle. Amazing only 12.9 alcohol! This is a bit thin on the palate but what a nose. I think I would have liked this more 3-4 yrs ago. Predominant flavors are cherry and flowers, very fresh and in balance.

  • Dark red color. Slightly corked, but still showing some currant and cedar. Black licorice, sour cherry, eucalyptus/mint behind the TCA. Too bad this wine was corked, as it's really an awesome wine behind the flaw.

Tasted September 6, 2006 at an offline. No notes taken. Got a little funk on this one that reminded me of either barnyard or leather. Drink over the short to midterm.

  • This was one crazy wine. Initially, the nose and palate consisted of some incredibly overripe fruits that just exploded in the glass. After 20+ minutes this component settled down and I was treated to tea, leather, some meat, mocha, mouth-watering fruit (sour plum?), and graphite. Eventually there were hints of cedar and currant on the finish to help remind me this was a Cab. I couldn't help myself, but kept pouring glasses, trying to decipher what all was in this wine. Much, much, much more impressive than the '96 Elyse Morisoli we had a while back. I think another year or two may help this wine integrate. I wish I had some more of this one!
