What a nice bottle. Hi-toned, foresty bouquet of cherries, leather, and a hint of cinnamon bark. Mid-to-full bodied, ample fruit, very fresh and earthy. Lots of finesse and plenty of bottle age. All buoyed by a streak of minerality in the background. Shows a youthful edge on the red fruit and earth driven finish. Long aftertaste. I'm impressed.

Chateau de Cruzeau, Pessac-Leognan, 1990, 12,5% Vol.
Über zwei Tage genossen an beiden Tagen perfekt! Nase: Kann nicht 100% riechen, da minimal Schnupfen. Schöne Nase ohne Brett. Erinnert ein bisschen an Milchkaffee. Geschmack: Sehr lecker, delikat.

Anita: Beaut. ruby red w/black hues and med color fade, briliant, lovely color. Complex notes of pine, sous bois, coffee grounds, old cherry, hint cranberry, cin.-spice mixed in, some earth and leather; med. soft t’s and bal, well int, med. soft fin, complex, aged just right. Not a high score by itself, but almost PERFECT w/coffee rubbed roast beef! 2nd night w/gravy was astoundingly good, and earthy flavors melded perfectly w/the wine. What fun, this was perfectly aged, and even better b/c the cork pushed thru at opening and I thot almost for sure that it would be dead. Very lively, grt. tertiary flavors, and had a year or two left in it even.

Still drinking pretty well. Nothing out of the ordinary, but floral bouquet, good mid-palate and solid finish. Definitely as legs past the 2005 end date from the community, but I would knock it back by 2007.

Still solid for a lesser 1990. Medium body, smooth flavor. Great drinking wine.
