The last two posters are right...nuff sed. What a fine (semi-sweet but balanced) wine accompanying a cranberry-garlic sauce on Pork. Worth seeking out (purchased April 11 via an internet vendor...originally a Christie's purchase, per the sticker).

Friday at the Duck House (Duck House, Montery Park, CA): Ginger spice nose. Nice honey notes among a nicely balanced palate. Was a great pairing with the Peking Duck. I love how ZH gets nice Gewurz expression without the sweetness and fatness found in so many others and they seem best over 10 years old. Excellent.

NOSE: intense; very nice minerality with some sweetness that was somewhat aged in character, but not at all oxidized.
BODY: medium-light bodied; light amber color -- a very beautiful-looking wine.
TASTE: strong note of baked apples and pears is off-set by the perfect amount of minerals; very rich, but only lightly sweet; medium-length finish. Gorgeous wine. My WOTN.
