The abundant fruit is still masked by the signature Bernstein wood treatment and the fine tannins, but less than the last time, and this wine is a little more enjoyable today. 95+ potential when the wood and tannins fade away some more. Excellent.

Black raspberry, cherries, and chocolate on the nose and palate. Pretty and exotic notes throughout, which, no doubt, come from the not-too-subtle Bernstein wood treatment. Very well balanced and delicious wine. The persistent tannins suggest that the best course of action is to stay hands-off for a while.
