An airy echezeaux, fun to drink, a bit hollow in the mid palate and lacking grand cru depth, and finally saved by the chalky, elegant and very persistent finish.

Pretty nose, a little floral, generous fruit, good depth. Quite ripe and generous on the palate as well, but also very well balanced and layered. Nice minerality, powerful tannins, very good length. 91-92+

La Paulée de San Francisco - Grand Tasting (The Fairmont - San Francisco CA): Tasting, brief note. All red cherry with background spice. Very elegant and pretty right now. Expanding finish. Charming now, with upside. 91+ point potential.

Some Wines from the 2018 La Paulée Grand Tasting of 2015 Burgundy (The Fairmont, San Francisco): Light red. Gorgeous aromas of bright red fruit. Light to medium bodied. Minimal soil but excellent acidity. I really liked the balance and the way the fruit built across the palate. Another winner from a producer I really enjoyed yesterday during the Verticals as well.
