  One of the finest '02 WSs. Black currant laced through a velvety palate that finishes with a tar element that enrobes the whole monster. So much more than we have words for. Great mouthfeel and resounding aaahs around the table. PnP...without regret.

  Excellent rich burgundy. The legs are medium. There is light sediment in the bottle.
  It tastes like mushroom and blackberry.
  The body is medium/full. The wine has round texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has low acidity.

  Slightly cloudy orange-toned burgundy color.
  
  Very floral nose of iris, rose petals and baking spice.
  
  On the palate, damson plum, cranberry juice, star anise, and salt water. On the riper side, but nicely balanced and intriguing California Pinot.
