- Brick color and aromas of black currant, cherry and chocolate. It's balanced and has flavours of cherry, black currant and black pepper with a full body. Smooth texture with a long finish - Decanted two hours. Sweet grape nose with pepper notes. Big,long delicious finish.

At 8 years this wine is really coming into its own. Creamy layered mouthfeel with grape jelly flavors throughout. Aromatically grape juice with no signs of other aromatics. In mouth it is the creamy texture that dominates. Shortish finish with fruits ending with the swallow.

We had a special event with 15 colleagues and 7 reds - and this 2014 Merlot was one of the two favorites. Very modest tannins and soft fruit. Still young to me, suggesting a 2030 end-date with room to spare. Wish we had another bottle to share again.

Decided to do a follow up on the 2014 Darioush Merlot. I last tasted this wine in 2018 and it appears this wine has improved beyond belief. The tannins are fully integrated and has developed into a fully balanced wine.
Aromas of black pepper, dark chocolate, black plum and fresh fig take control of the nose and don’t let go. The palate is richly rewarded with a swirl of black fruit and baking spices.
This wine is in its peak drinking window right now. Opening this bottle now will not disappoint.

- Brick color with medium forming legs and aromas of cherry, licorice anise, cedar, black pepper and tea. It's balanced and has flavours of cherry, raspberry and black currant with a medium/full body. Polished texture with a long finish - Decanted 90 minutes, the wine needs it. Sweet crushed red fruit on finish with a hint of spice. Excellent Merlot. This merlot can age longe.
