Very very tasty. On pop and pour it’s a very pure tart red fruit with some spiky tannins. Reading the label it makes sense that it is in fact kind of a baby Amarone with dried berries and skin contact, but not a fruit bomb and very drinkable. Gets a little heavier with air and the tannins become more prominent, but not astringent, suggesting that it could do well with a slow oxidation or simply more time in the bottle. Overall a very interesting wine that I’ve never had before but would definitely recommend.

We served this wine as the eighth in a flight of 10 Italians at dinner. It was surprisingly approachable for a young Sfursat, and I quite liked it (I did not take detailed notes). Would happily drink again.
