I agree with the recent tasters as this is drinking in a fabulous spot, need I say peak. Smokin good, sexy and round with great balance and weight. Plenty of black cherry, kirsch and spice which I always love from Grenache!!

100% Grenache from a small plot with river stones over red clay on the highest hills of the appellation. The wine is aged in large 600l wooden barrels (demi-muids). Deceptively light and evolved color, but very intense and seductive nose and taste with nuts, superripe sweet red fruit and garrigue. Just enough acidity and serious tannines for extra definition. Grenache at its best and ready to drink. I slightly prefer this wine to their other mini-cuvée, called l’Avenue. 15% alcohol:be sure to serve this wine cool and preferably not on a hot summer day. This is an hedonistic wine and probably not for tasters with a PDF (Palais de Fillette) or AFWE (Anti Flavour Wine Elite)-palate.

Drank this last night with some friends on a patio. Delicious! Red fruit and jam. Not too tannic. The wine is lightweight, and was perfect for the setting. I'm very happy to have let this age for a bit - as it stands now, this is a perfect wine for nice summer evenings.

Drank this bottle over two days. First day, enclosed, both in terms of smell and taste, too much alcohol. Second day, a completely different bottle, Color; medium plus, fragrance; cigar, licorice, stall, vanilla. The taste; raspberries, plums, herbs, leather, game. The alcohol has calmed down, nice tannins, and a semi long finish. For a CdP, Admiral G has a slightly sweeter strawberry tone, but not in a bad way. This wine will be even better in 2-3 years.
