PnP. Plenty of strawberries on the nose. Dry on the palate with lots of strawberry, sufficient acidity to remain cleansing, and a touch of minerality. Great food wine. Held this bottle a bit longer than usual (past year-end) and found that it was ever so slightly less "fresh" than the previous bottle nine months ago -- thus the one point drop. As has been said before, and by other reviewers, if you aren't familiar with Fred's wines, you should be.

Fred hits another home run. This is, perhaps, my 20th year drinking Dry Rose. Lighter in color than 2015 but really nice. Strawberries and Cassis on both the nose and palate. An excellent Dry acidity focuses your perception to the fruit and it had a nice long finish.
We drink a lot of Rose. Tempier, Mordoree, Bedrock "Ode". This is at least as good as any,of them .... maybe better.
If you aren't drinking Fred's wines, you are missing one of life's treats.

PnP. Another solid wine by Fred. The nose pops with strawberries, and a touch of minerality. These follow through onto the palate to create a rose with substance, while remaining delicate. Dry on the palate with lots of strawberry (especially after it warms up a bit), sufficient acidity to remain cleansing, and a touch of minerality. Great food wine. Usually finish each vintage before the next arrives, but the wine will certainly hold for a year or two.

We spend a month every year in Napa Valley to visit some of our favorite wineries and also to find new experiences. The Scherrer Winery was our find of the year. The Scherrer family are some of nicest folks in the industry and without a doubt, make some of best wines in Sonoma County (or any country). I am not a Rosé or white wine lover, but the Scherrer Driy Rosé hit it out of the park. Cannot wait until the 2017 vintage is released.
