A much better showing than the last bottle, but treated differently: decanted off the sediment, poured back into the bottle, and started tasting about four hours later. Some hints of volatile acidity, but lively and fresh. Extremely hard to describe this wine, at least for me. Very enjoyable tonight.

Another interesting Emidio Pepe puzzle. Needs tons of air – next bottle I'll decant at lunch for a dinner drink. Some VA on the nose. Wet stone, faint hints of grass on the nose. Light mouthfeel as always (no oak) with red primary fruit still floating around in the core. Lifted, light but lengthy finish. Needs more time, IMHO. The wines 10 years older are drinking much better. If you have to open it, give it time, and enjoy the shit out of it.

Super sour medicinal cherry, some herbs (hard to pin... subtle mint, something else woodsy), a high-toned balsamic note to the nose, dark berries on the palate.
Ultimately not as complex as the price point would suggest, but perhaps it is still young.
Leaning a bit too much into the VA for my liking. For those saying brett, it seems to me more like excessive volatile acids.

Really lovely wine, tobacco, vanilla and cherries on the nose, with a spicy, vanilla palate. Light tannins and nice acidity. Very good indeed.
