This is a rather interesting Chardonnay. I get a mix between old world and new world Chard so I could see how the mineral undertones (Old World) mixed with the light (but heavier than White Burgundy) oak/vanilla could turn someone off to this. It's not your typical oaked California Chardonnay and it's too fruit forward and oaked to compare to a White Burgundy (even though it's not as heavily oaked as most CC).
On the nose, its fruit forward like many California Chards but not heavy with vanilla and oak. Palate is medium + body, medium plus (bordering high) alcohol due to the warmer region of grape production. Palate also has a mineral note but it sits alongside what I'd call medium oak and vanilla.
Color: Medium Yellow
Nose: Fruit forward, Yellow apple, pineapple, light oak, wet rock undertones, slight citrus notes
Palate: Nose is right on. Fruit forward, medium + body, high acidity, Yellow apple, citrus, pineapple, light to medium light oak, chalk
Finish: Medium-Long finish of citrus and vanilla

We liked it but not as much as the community. We found it a medium weight wine without a lot of Chard flavor, pleasant but unremarkable. A decent value at $20 but we like others in that category more.

First Chalone and it is close to a good wine. Plenty of tropical fruit with a touch of mineral but for my taste just too much American oak. Some reviews find too much sweetness but I am guessing without the oak it wouldn't be obvious. Increase (or add) some stainless and I could enjoy it.

On the nose, honeysuckle flowers, lemongrass. On the palate, honey, lemonpeel, with a clean acidity and finish. Aging beautifully.

As the label says, this has great Burgundian characteristics. Good weight and great balance.
