the color doesn't give away its age. Stewed fruit, plum on the nose. The flavors are more like a claret than a zinfandel at this age. Still drinkable, but its best years are behind it.

Stunning! This wine had some rough edges early in its life, but they have since been resolved. Good on its own without food. Full bodied but relatively elegant in style. I'll have to figure out where the remaining bottles are and dig them out for near term consumption.

Similar to prior note. The rough edged of its youth are long gone. Well balanced in a relatively elegant style for zin. Manageable at 14.2 pct alcohol.

Found a couple of these tucked behind some 03's at a wine store the other day. I remembered really liking these before so I snagged them. Rosenblum has always made some of my favorite Zins and this one is unique in my book. Very nice, black cherries, currant, anise, chocolate and an unusual herbal component that defies my description. nice earthiness too.

Very smooth, drinking well now. Probably near its peak. One of the favorites, along with the Annette's, from this weekends Wallyfest case.
