The nose was finely sculpted yet rich and deep, showing crushed stone, ripe apple, pear, and soaring minerality. On the palate, I found unbelievably soft textures with balancing acidity, as a mix of stone fruits and inner florals cascaded across the senses. It finished long on saturating minerality and lingering stone fruits. The contrasts of minerality and rich textures make Les Charmes a joy to drink.

Young Burgundy Flight (The Wine Club, San Francisco): Medium yellow. Tropical aromas. Medium weight, obvious wood, pineapple, citrus, decent acidity, oaky finish. Not much intensity or energy here.

Some seriously odd notes here despite a perfectly sound wine, this is not encouraging.
