Under natural cork. Decanted off some dusty sediment and left to air for 1.5 hrs. Deep, rich and pure black currant colour. Nose is Wow! Ripe black currant, campino candy, graphite, char, other creamy black fruits, burnt bacon, and a bit of hedgerow. Smooth entry, very dry, gobs of fruit extract and glycerol, high silky tannins, highish alcohol. Beautifully balanced! Palate follows the nose with gobs of black currant and other black hedgerow berries, graphite, cedar, charcoal and minerals. A tiny bit stalky on the finish. Just lovely and should only get better with time! Easy 93 points right now!

PnP a 93. 93/94. Has typical aromas of leathery blueberries, gravel, blackberries, and mint. Its medium to full bodied freshy fruited chewy blue, black and red fruits palate has superb craggy depth and good length+freshness with the lovely grip. 14%. Lay down 20-30 years or drink now with 8-9 hrs aeration. Very 2016 with its lovely blue fruits.

After about a 2-hour decant, the wine had fully opened—dark fruits with pencil shavings (not overwhelming), balanced tannins, and neutral acidity. The finish was short and fleeting but did not detract from the overall experience. The wine is ready to drink and has already lost most of its fruitiness. I would wait too much longer (1 to 2 years max) if it was properly cellared.
