{screwcap, 14.5%} Medium garnet, right for age. Lots of sweet bubble gum, raspberry jam fruit aromas. Flavours too, although not actual sugar sweet. Lowish grape skin tannins, medium acidity, ripe Grenache fruit, warm and maybe a touch hollow. Patchy, shortish finish. Ok value at A$24, no better. In fairness, decent enough for five years, may hold but won’t improve.

Cherries on the nose, violets Light body, sweet fruit getting on for candied, warm cinnamon spicy notes and leather. Lots of grenache sweetness. A little heady if served too warm but very nice with a light chill on it. Drunk with roast shoulder of pork with lots of garlic.

M. Chapoutier: Tour of the Rhone (SOBE Wine & Food Festival - Miami Beach): Red fruit jumped from the glass with raspberry most notable. On the palate, raspberry, strawberry, followed by herbs (thyme). Medium body and the tannins were smooth but definitely present. Medium finish. This was a very quaffable wine to drink now or within the next 5 years.
