Much nicer than the 2006. Violets, pepper, raspberry and a touch of meatiness on the nose, good length and balance on the palate which is medium weight.

The last of the cheap 2007 Rhône Valley wines easily available in Alko, this one at €10. Popped and poured, allowed to open up in the glass for about 15 min. A rather dark red with a violet hue. The nose is immediately very expressive, can smell blackberries while pouring into the glass, this remains after 15 min as well as some meaty aromas (not very strong) and some citrusy smells as well. On the palate, the first impression is fairly light bodied, this is no power wine, but rather more light in style, with red berries and some tannins. Not a wine that makes a huge impression, but not bad either. Would I get more? Hmm, maybe not. 50+4+10+14+7=85
