after about 30 min its silky and so lightly extracted...a little orange to the color...It needed some time to blow off a little prickle...then the palate super soft almost watery...got a cinnamon wood thing on finish more brown sugar on nose after time... a few flaws but super juicy across palate...everythings blowing off...some red licorice on nose...almost a sweet green strawberry...hmmm... i just swirl it ... i get cacao nibs,cola..this wine is a cloudy dark ruby not opaque...far from perfect but clean enough..crunchiness in full effect... juicy day 2 second half screaming hard black cherry candy on nose ...more air says blue fruit...oh 2016 paso cab franc..where has time gone?

CA Cab Franc in a chuggable/glou-glou natural wine style. This seemed too fruity, sweet, and simple at first, as wines in this style can, but developed some very nice floral and herbal character as it sat in the glass. Pretty delicious.

Deep garnet color. Lush dark fruit flavors of blackberry and blueberry with some tartness and not much additional complexity. This is a fruit driven wine which after a couple years aging might mature to allow some subtle tannins to show.

Venue: Home; General Notes: Think old world cab franc goes on rumspringa during the dark days of Detroit and turned into Rick James: real talent but way too much of everything. Big stewed fruit, heavy mouth, grippy finish. (I suspect there was no way to throttle back on this harvest.) one point five out of four with two caveats: this style of wine ain’t my thing, but lots of folks will love it, and I’m going to keep some around in case it decides to mellow out. ; Wine Notes: | Eco Style | Sustainable | Winemaking Notes | Aged for 6 months in neutral french oak barriques ;

Just awful. Maybe it was a flawed bottle?
