  • Tasted over 2 hrs, bottle is heavier than standard bottles
    -nearly semi-translucent med dark red
-rather reserved with a dark berry/cherry core
-med acidity keeps it lively, med weight focused slightly medicinal cassis dark berry, prominent wood on the finish contributes to the med tannins
-big bottle and big wood - seems like trying to impress; not appealing; too bad as the underlying material seems solid and while the wood might be absorbed over time not sure it will ever escape being intrusive

  • Medium ruby, spice, mulberry, black cherry, strawberry, and cassis with undertones of vanilla and mocha, round warm fruit on the attack with dark berry fruit, spice, medium plus acidity, soft tannins and a higher than expected (for Burgundy) alcohol level, finishes with tart berry fruit, more spice, mineral streaks and lingering umami flavors
