Started out heavy on sweet oak. An hour into the open bottle it balanced out. Red plum, milk chocolate covered raspberry, red & black cherries, a bit of dried herb throughout. A little green pepper build on the palate. Some vanilla & touch of heat on the finish. Flavors linger and eventually structure becomes grippy. I say drink soon as only modest tertiary tones are there, but alcohol & structure are noticeable.

Papa and poor during the Texas freeze-a-geddon 2021. We’ll balanced and a reasonable qpr @ $50.
Medium-to-dark black fruit, modest tannins that leave the taste of fruit on the palate rather than a dry, silky or satiny finish. While it has enough flavor and wait two Enjoy with beef, it’s light enough to enjoy with almost anything like this evenings Chicken breast with a Sherry/shallot reduction.
Enjoyable through 2023-5 based on tonite

Drank a few days ago but main takeaway was that this was a complex and interesting wine. Likely the very high percentage of petit verdot, but this felt unique in it's flavor profile. Still much of the Napa fruit, but also some Bordeaux quality. Would absolutely drink this again.

After 90 mins in a decanter this is surprisingly thin and one-dimensional. Hoping this is bottle variation or too much time in the decanter

No detailed notes but full bodied, well integrated and no rush
