Dark, impenetrable purple red. Dense nose of concentrated confection, charcuterie, cola, spice, limestone mineralite. After 4 hours open the palate is really singing, dark cherries, violets, black cardamom, BBQ meats, quintessentially Nuits, both in your face yet subtle, masculine and feminine, youthful but open, concentrated but weightless, seemlessly integrated tannin, perfectly approachable with sufficient air but will probably outlive us all, absolutely delightful.

Broad and firmly structured with excellent fruit of cherry and cassis against a touch of animal and lifted floral purfume. Abundant tannins build through the finish.

Aromatically similar to the Champs-Perdrix but softer, less tannic, more open palate, spice much more prominent with a much more intense limestone mineralite.

From half bottle, not yet released. 25% new oak. A touch of barnyard funk and spice on the nose. Medicinal. Violet and flower. Structured and intense. No shortage of grip on this guy. Youthful. Bottled at the end of July. A baby still.
