  • Decanted for about an hour before enjoying. Very pleasant and well-balanced wine. Cherry and strawberry. Some earthiness and a bit of forest floor. A bit of muscle to it - not light and ethereal, medium weight and body. Overall the impression was of a well rounded Burg. Medium+ acidity, enough zip make it feel lively and paired nicely with both a miso cod fish and duck ragu.

  • Ruby red to garnet, transparent, clear. Not overly pronounced nose of cranberry, charcuterie, earth. Tart acid, spiky tannins, disjointed. The nose is better than the palate. Moderate intensity of amorphous red fruits, earthiness and savoury notes. There is no joy in this wine - it has no soul.

  • From half bottle kept at the cellar. Maybe already released?

It's not flat but comparatively it's flat and there is more clay and its much bigger stones than Le Richemonts. The clumps of earth here are very hard and can't be broken by hand.

Mineral and salty on the nose with red fruit. Crunchy hard edged red fruit character to this guy. Very much a baby. Grippy. 2014 is easier than 2015 she notes an maybe a bit hidden in the glass because they are cold (Burgundy cellar temperature in January).
