N: Slightly closed; Smoke slightly atop berries, poss pyrazines; Creamy oak with swirling
P: Med body; RNDISH entry with NICE, ALMOST swtish frt (approaching threshold R.S.) met by astringent pucker which somewhat resolves by the LONG, balanced finish with a tangy/SWTNESS (45:55) to the dusty tannins. NEEDS through '19, poss '20, then drinking for 3 yrs more. Impressive potential for the price (assuming one doesn't mind flirting with R.S.)! 14.3% ABV; My EXC-/EXC, the higher arguably for the QPR represented by this vendor's $12.99, which is $4 < the next lowest of wine-searcher's limited postings.

This is a fantastic zin blend. Rich and fruity, but not syrupy. Priced below a lot of other "superior" zins.

Dark fruit, doesn't taste like any specific grape, which I suppose is the point.

A mix match - kinda big on the palate but kinda lean on the nose. If one can be lean for such things.
