Schrofenstein, Landeck. PnP. Starts very shy (my wife said deluted), but improved a lot with time and air. Typical Riesling, on the mineral side, light and clean, but with a mouth watering acidity and persistent. Quite good today (89), but there is potential for one or two points more within the next few years.

Weekly tasting group RWP #284: Volcanic wines (@ PvdV): Pale yellow with some tears in the glass. In the bouquet flowers, white fruits, herbs and lime. On the palate minerals, good citrus acidity and chalky mineral impressions. 90+

Very steep slope (77%), southern orientation, above the Danube river. Still very young, linear and lifted. Expressive, sharp acidity, typical Wachau's saline minerality. Long, persistent and clean. Varietal and terroir driven. Very correct wine at this moment, but may evolve more character with age.
