This feels a bit long in the tooth at this point... just rather flat and flabby today, with some older stewed flavors. Nothing off putting... I still drank the bottle, but it was not nearly as good as the last bottle just a few years back.

Had several Vitalonga wines over the years, primarily Elcione and Confine. Good but not great. This is similar. 70/30 Cab/San blend, it lacks depth, with a gap imid-palate. Also a bit green. A year of aging has not made it any better so we will call this interesting but not something to buy again. Sorry JS but just not happening.

Lots of interesting elements, but they do not go well together. Musty leather, candied vellum, pine cone, blood orange, black pepper and rancid whipped cream. The wine is too sweet and lacks acidity. Not sure if the fruit was overripe or they used too much new oak, probably both. Avoid.

Some interesting things going on here including some real complexity, but ultimately unbalanced, like the Cab and Sangiovese weren’t really getting along. Still an interesting wine for the money.

Over-ripe fruit, lacks acidity, and there's a strange taste--cinnamon/clove/vanilla not integrated with the rest--on the finish.
