Cellared since release. APN 2206, 13.0% stated alcohol.
Yellow color. Slightly herbal in nose, herbal and lemony on medium-weight palate, both typical; just a little sugar showing on the finish. Good acidic support with some creaminess in texture. Can still last for quite a while, but I'm not sure that it will improve. Good for drinking with a meal, but not a show wine. On the other hand, I rarely find Weilberg much better than just good.

(Pfeffingen Weilberg Grosses Gewachs) Maybe the best value in Grosses Gewachs in 2005 - Brilliant nose that soars from the glass with intense minerality, orange blossom, white pepper and some lilacs. Palate is complex and rich with great acidic cut yet still very opulent. Very structured wine that will age for a long time. One of the most serious dry wines I have ever had from Pfeffingen. Just outrageous.
